In this video, I share my thoughts about tarot collecting. I was inspired to film this by Imogen at @SaplingTarot. If you like these kinds of discussions, go give them a follow. They are Imogen's bread and butter. ✨️ Original Prompts: 1. How long have you been collecting decks? 2. What kind of collection do you have? (Minimal, utilitarian, aesthetic, historical, etc.) 3. Are you a "completionist"? 4. How do you store/organise your collection? 5. What is your favourite thing about your collection? 6. What is your least favourite thing about or something to improve your collection? 7. What is the biggest category of your collection? 8. What is the smallest category of your collection? 9. Do you have a "holy grail" in your collection? 10. Do you ever wish your collection was bigger, smaller, or is it complete? 11. How often do you declutter your collection? 12. Do you ever get envious seeing other people's collections? 13. Who on YouTube has the best collection video(s)? 14. What's some advice you'd give to a future/new deck collector? About This Video

In this video, I’m talking through what it actually means (for me) to have a tarot collection—why I collect, how I relate to my decks over time, and what I think is worth paying attention to beyond the “how many decks do you own?” question. This is a VR inspired by Imogen over at Sapling Tarot (go follow them if you love thoughtful tarot discussions—this is truly their bread and butter), and I’m using their prompts as a gentle structure to reflect on my own habits and values around collecting. I move through things like how my collection functions in my day-to-day practice, what kinds of decks I tend to keep around, and the difference between collecting for use versus collecting for the sake of having. I also touch on the practical side—how I store and organize decks, what categories naturally become “big” or “small” in a collection, and what I’d tweak or improve if I could. If you’re new to tarot (or you’ve been around a while and you’re feeling a little wobbly about deck FOMO), my biggest takeaway is that your collection should support your practice and your life—especially if, like me, your spirituality is rooted in attention, seasons, and real-world reflection.
