Easy Vegan Jalapeno Poppers, Asparagus Tart, and Grape Truffles (Spring Vegan Brunch Appetizers

Spring is finally here, and I wanted to pay homage to the season by using seasonal fruits and vegetables in an inspired way. This last weekend we journeyed to San Diego (by way of a few restaurants in LA) just to dine at Donna Jean. The whole dining experienced really changed my perspective on what it means to cook good vegan food. Chef Roy Elam and his crew pretty much make everything from scratch using whole, fresh ingredients. The food is hearty and comforting, and very “real”. When planning this week’s recipe video, I wanted to keep that focus in mind, and try to make quick and easy appetizers keeping Chef Roy’s vision in mind.
