About This Video

In this weekly vlog, I’m taking y’all through a real week in my life as a med surg travel nurse—tired, busy, and still trying to keep it cute. I start off coming home from shift two of three and doing an Instacart grocery haul (Kroger run): quick protein snacks like Chomps, smoked salmon and gouda cubes, plus meal prep staples like sweet potatoes, plantains, eggs, heavy cream, and all the cheese I need for things like mac and cheese and breakfast sandwiches. I also show a couple new shoes I picked up and talk through how I’m getting ready for work when I’m running on fumes. I also pack my lunch and show what I actually eat on work weeks—roasted sweet potatoes, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, salmon in the air fryer, and my one-pot chicken and rice (I followed an inspo video, but I’m not using chicken broth because I’m just not a fan). I do a “what’s in my work bag” moment with my Bagsmart bag, my fanny pack, and the little things that help me survive a shift—mints, blue light glasses, toiletries, snacks, and my “baddy on duty” badge reel. Between shifts, I’m clocking hours, handling grad school discussion posts, getting into my Bible/devotional, and giving y’all a sneak peek that I’m working on fanny packs for work too.
