This was my first vlog of 2024—happy new year y’all. I took you with me through a week in my life on a travel nurse assignment in Georgia, and yes… I did 3 night shifts in a row. I’m showing the real behind-the-scenes: getting to work early for parking, trying to stay on top of meal prep (mashed potatoes, green beans, and that frozen chicken from Walmart), and making it through the kind of nights where your patient literally Houdini’s out of restraints and you’re running back and forth trying to keep everybody safe. I also talked about something I’ve been noticing more: tension and weird energy during report, especially when it’s coming from people who should be working with you, not against you. I shared a situation I personally dealt with on this assignment and why I’m big on teamwork—nursing is already hard enough without the extra attitude. Outside of work, I’m apartment hunting with my mom (I showed a tour of one of my top choices), trying new coffee shops like Blue Mountain Coffee Roasters, and planning my “grown woman” reset—trainer consult, hair change, nails, and just getting my life together. Plus, I’m actively talking to recruiters and setting my minimum for my next contract because I’m not renewing this one.
