About This Video

In this video I’m showing you how I make a cute, simple YouTube intro straight from my iPhone—no laptop needed. I hadn’t done an editing tutorial in a minute, so I wanted to keep it super beginner-friendly and show y’all my exact process using three apps: Canva, Phonto, and CapCut. First, I hop into Canva to remove the background from my photos (it’s literally one click with the BG Remover). The key step is saving your images with a transparent background so they layer clean in CapCut. Next, I go into Phonto to create a clean background for the intro. I choose a plain image, set the size to 16:9 (so it fits YouTube perfectly), and save it to my camera roll. Then we bring everything into CapCut: add the background to the timeline, drop in your cut-out photos, and start adding text for your channel name and your ending screen (like Instagram + subscribe). All three apps have free options, and that’s what I’m using here—paid features are optional if you want extra effects. If you follow along with what I’m doing on screen, you’ll be able to recreate the same vibe from scratch.
