Happy Tom Ford Tuesday. In this video I’m diving into the brand new Tom Ford Architecture Soft Matte Blushes—packaging, swatches, and a full try-on so we can let the product speak for itself. Tom Ford is claiming a buildable, seamlessly blendable blush with smoothing microsphere technology for that soft-focus, “second skin” matte finish, plus long wear and fade resistance. I picked up three shades to test: Hot Pink (bright pink), Bright Poppy (vibrant cherry), and Brushed Plum (purple-plum), and I also show you the full shade lineup so you can see what’s available. On swatches and on the face, the biggest takeaway is pigmentation—these are extremely pigmented, very creamy to the touch, and they apply with a true matte finish that isn’t flat. I used my Wayne Goss F5 (more diffused) and F1 (still diffusing, but less airy) because you truly have to go in light-handed, and yes, I did notice a bit of kick-up in the pan. The colors translated beautifully, and side-by-side you can really see the difference between Hot Pink and Bright Poppy. I also did a wear test after a little over 5 hours, and the blush was still super bold and pigmented. Overall, I’m very happy with my shade choices—especially Brushed Plum, which surprised me because plum tones can sometimes read bruised on my skin, but this one was gorgeous. My advice: pick your tone, and proceed with caution because she’s pigmented.
