In this video I’m doing one of my favorite things: looking back at the year and realizing I actually made way more art in 2025 than my brain was giving me credit for. I flip through what I painted, what I played with in my sketchbooks, and the little projects that added up over time—swatches, tests, challenges, and all those “just sit down and paint something” days. It’s a really good reminder that progress doesn’t always look like one big masterpiece; sometimes it’s a pile of small, joyful pages. I also share my very simple art goals for 2026, because I’m not trying to create a list that makes me feel guilty by February. I want goals that keep watercolor fun, keep me learning, and keep me showing up consistently—whether that’s trying new supplies, doing more prompts, or making time for workshops and practice. If you’ve been feeling like you didn’t make enough art this year, I made this as a gentle nudge to actually look at what you did, celebrate it, and set goals that fit real life.
