In this video I’m sharing exactly how I moved from Bangladesh to London at 17 for higher studies—no extra intros, just straight to the point. I explain what I studied first (ESOL/“English for Speakers of Other Languages”), why I chose it, and the real requirements you need to know before you even think about applying. I also talk about the two biggest issues people don’t realize: you can’t work during the ESOL course, and after it ends you have to return to your home country (you can’t switch visas from inside the UK). London is expensive, and I’m very honest about that. I also break down what happened after my ESOL year—how my college looked at my performance, scores, and extracurriculars, and then offered me a path forward. Because I turned 18 and the visa process took longer, I started an adult course first (with multiple grouped subjects like maths, business & entrepreneurship, creative digital media, and leading strategic projects), and my A levels will start next year. I share my living situation (I’m in the same building as my aunt, but a different apartment, with roommates) and my best advice if you want to come to the UK: learn English, focus on grades, build independent-study habits, learn basic life skills, and start earning/saving early. And of course—trust Allah’s plan, pray, and keep working hard.
