In this video, I’m out at the Oakfield Wind Farm in Oakfield, Maine, following the Vestas wind technicians to show what “elevated work, grounded in safety” really looks like. These crews are climbing hundreds of feet, working in tight nacelles, and handling critical maintenance tasks where focus and teamwork matter—but the right PPE is what helps bring everyone home. From the morning safety briefing and gear checks to the climb and the work inside the turbine, it’s a real look at what it takes to keep clean, sustainable power running. I hear it straight from the techs: PPE is the last line of defense, and they want the best available.
