Join us as we explore our hometown of St. Louis, Missouri! St. Louis is an extremely unique city that holds much history. There is something for everyone here: sports, good eats, family fun, nightlife, historical landmarks & even a National Park! We will also be exploring all Missouri has to offer & the surrounding area - which brings us to Meramec State Park in Sullivan, MO. This state park is about an hour west of STL. We hiked the Bluff View Trail, which starts at the dining lodge parking lot. This hike is a 1.5 loop trail which brings you to the bluffs overlooking the Meramec River, and back to the parking lot. The trail is nicely shaded, has flat spots as well as rocky climbs. This trail is rated moderate, and I would say that is accurate. The girls could easily navigate the trail, but it did have it's challenges. The trails in this park are also dog friendly!! This state park was always part of my childhood. I have many memories of family BBQ's, Easter dinners & camping trips. I love sharing things I enjoyed as a kid with my girls!
