About This Video

Hey guys—Brad & Jess here from Miles From Missouri, and in this video we’re out on our first trip of 2024 (our shakedown trip) at Twin Eagle Lake Resort / Twin Eagle Lake Estates & Hideout in Potosi, Missouri. It’s only about an hour from home, which makes it a perfect spot to get “further away” without committing to a huge drive—especially when you’re trying to figure out what you forgot (yep… Blackstone utensils and our GoPros were still sitting at home). We’ve stayed here a couple times, and every time we come back it feels bigger—like they’ve got a whole crew that does nothing but add onto the place. We show you around the campground and talk through what makes it such a family-friendly RV resort: RV sites, tent sites, cabins, wagons, a hotel, and even a wedding venue. We also visited on Easter weekend, so there were extra activities like seeing the Easter Bunny and egg hunts for different age groups (all the way up to adults), which is exactly the kind of thing that makes trips easier and more fun with kids. I also do a site review for our Site #12 (full hookups). It’s gravel, comes with a fire ring and picnic table, and it’s super close to the shower house—which was a big win for us. The tradeoffs: it’s on an angle so leveling took some work, and being on a corner meant more road noise with traffic on both sides. Overall though, we enjoyed it and think Twin Eagle is a solid Missouri campground option for families.
