In this video, I’m recapping all the best parts of our 2022 travels—where we went, what surprised us, and what we’d do all over again. I’m Brad (with Jess), and we’re Miles From Missouri: a budget-friendly, family-oriented RV travel channel. We ran through our year’s stats (2,222 miles, four states, four national parks, one flight, and 10 different places we slept) and then broke everything down into our favorite categories from the road. For budget-friendly travel, Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio was the clear winner—tons of free hikes and fishing, plus the John Glenn Astronomy Park experience that was completely free and unforgettable. Our favorite hike was Conkles Hollow (even though I wrecked the drone—worth it), because it’s super family friendly with a quick payoff: rock formations, caves, and a waterfall that feels like Jurassic Park. Food-wise, Georgetown, Texas stole the show with 600 Degree Pizzeria and Mikey V’s Tacos. We also talk national park favorites (Smoky Mountain National Park for the bears, and Waco Mammoth as a runner-up), the biggest surprise (Dayton’s Wright brothers history), and where we’d drop everything to go back to—Georgetown, no question. At the end, we share what’s next: Route 66 across Missouri and a big July surprise trip.
