Leaving home at 5:am, we drove right into a severe thunderstorm! The wind was whipping, along with rain, thunder & lighting. It was the most stressful few hours we've experienced so far with towing our rig & was pretty scary! After the storm, we stopped for breakfast in IL at a Cracker Barrel, then got back on the road to head to our first stop of the trip. We stayed at Cedars of Lebanon State Park in Lebanon, TN which was about a 5hr drive from STL. This campground was TIGHT for our rig, and did not have sewer hookups - but did the job for one night. The next day we're off to Gatlinburg for our week long stay at Gateway to the Smokies RV Park & Campground.
