About This Video

In this video I’m sharing our weekend stay at Meramec Valley Campground & RV Resort in Cuba, Missouri—specifically a campsite review of Site 133 plus a drive-through look at some of the main areas. We didn’t set up a ton outside the camper this trip, but Site 133 worked well for what we needed. There’s a good amount of space in front of the rig for a picnic area, and you get the basics you want at a full hookup site: a fire pit, picnic table, and utilities right there. I’m also going to be super upfront: this site is not level—not even a little—so definitely plan for that when you’re choosing a spot here. Parking was also a little tight for our giant truck, but we made it work. The site backs up to the community fire pit, which gave us a nice stretch of grass and green space behind us, even though you are pretty close to your neighbors. We also checked out the restroom/shower house by the pool and camp store—nothing fancy, but clean and functional—and walked through the lodge/lounge area with a big fireplace. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider coming back for a shaded, quiet weekend in the Meramec Valley area.
