Come along with us as we explore River Rat Tubing in Townsend TN! Floating in June is a great way to beat the heat in Tennessee! We tubed on a 'Low Water' day, and it took us around 4hrs to complete the float. The water was very shallow, which left us walking in most of the rocky spots. This was the first time our girls had been on the river, and the experience was top kotch! The waterways are clear of debris & offer plenty of spots to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Remember when you're floating that the banks of the river are private property. River Rat Tubers are not allowed on these banks, and landowners will run you off - we saw it happen! When you're done tubing make sure you head over to the food trucks near the parking lot. The food was delicious & the shaved ice was just what we needed after a hot day on the river!
