We hoped to get up early & beat the crowds to the trail, but things don't always go as planned! We arrived at the Buckeye Trailhead off the visitor center parking lot around 10:am. This part of the trail starts at Upper Falls, and continues down through the gorge. You can take it down to Lower Falls, but we decided to cross the bridge at Old Mans Cave & head back up toward the visitor center instead. Overall the trail was easy, but there are quite a few steep cliffs, stairways & tunnels to keep in mind. The trail itself is packed dirt with exposed rocks & tree roots. I wouldn't say this trail is accessible, but it is easy/moderate. If you have mobility issues i'd make sure you bring a hiking stick and/or a friend to help you navigate the rough patches.
