2024 was a year filled with many ups and downs; we travelled to the rainforests of Colombia, looked for reptiles in Arizona and made it Animalcon 2024. All the while dealing with the loss of Brian Barczyk, Dingo Dinkleman and many of the animals I loved most. About This Video

In this video I’m doing a real 2024 wrap-up—month by month—because this year was honestly a mix of some of the coolest highs and some brutal lows. I talk through the big trips and experiences that made the year unforgettable, like getting out into the rainforests of Colombia, hunting for reptiles in Arizona, and making it out to Animalcon 2024. If you’ve been following the channel, you’ll recognize a lot of these moments as the stuff that keeps me fired up about reptiles, field time, and building better husbandry setups back home. But I’m also not sugarcoating the hard parts. 2024 came with real loss—people in the community like Brian Barczyk and Dingo Dinkleman, and also animals I cared about deeply. I share how that weighed on me through the year while still trying to show up, keep improving, and keep putting “natural lives first” in everything I do. The takeaway is pretty simple: celebrate the wins, learn from the rough stretches, and keep moving forward with better care, better builds, and more intention behind what we keep and how we keep it.
