About This Video

In this one I’m taking you with me to tour my buddy Codyjoe’s setup at @thereptileshopreddeer / The Jungle Vault, and it’s honestly one of the craziest reptile rooms I’ve stepped into. We start down in the snake basement where you’re surrounded by racks and enclosures—just wall-to-wall animals—and it’s the kind of space that makes you immediately start thinking about workflow, organization, and how to keep husbandry consistent when the collection gets serious. From there we get into some absolutely wicked monitor lizards and talk through what makes these bigger, smarter species so rewarding—but also why you need to be realistic about space, security, and day-to-day maintenance. And then, because this place is just built different, we check out a massive 1000-gallon Asian arowana setup with stingrays and other monster fish. We wrap it up with a full reptile shop tour, highlighting rare animals like bright blue green tree pythons and a bunch of other eye-candy that’s going to make you want to redesign your whole room. Natural lives first—cool animals are awesome, but the setup and standards are what make it work long-term.
