In this video I’m walking you through Tinley Park NARBC 2024—one of the biggest reptile expos in the world—with one goal: find the coolest, rarest animals on the floor. I’m scanning tables for stuff you don’t see every day, from insane frog setups and standout geckos to boas, monitor lizards, and all the weird, high-end, “wait… is that actually here?” kind of reptiles that make Tinley what it is. If you’re into species spotlights and just seeing what’s possible in the hobby right now, this one’s basically a rapid-fire tour of the best finds. My big takeaway is the same thing I preach with husbandry builds: rarity is cool, but the animal’s long-term success is the flex. Expos are awesome for learning, meeting breeders, and seeing animals in person, but you’ve still got to ask the right questions, think about your enclosure plan, and prioritize “natural lives first” over impulse buys.
