About This Video

In this October 2025 reptile room tour, I’m walking you through the space that’s now home to 160+ reptiles and amphibians—what’s working, what’s changing, and what I’m focusing on right now for “natural lives first.” We hit a bunch of the current projects and seasonal updates, plus some of the fun stuff like October events and what’s been going on behind the scenes as the collection keeps evolving. If you’re building a room, scaling up, or just trying to make your setups more functional without sacrificing animal-first husbandry, this one’s for you. I go enclosure by enclosure and talk through a stack of species highlights—Uromastyx, blue-tongued skinks, Sakishima grass lizards (including adults), fish-scaled geckos, Chahoua geckos, emerald grass lizards, beaded geckos, giant leaf frogs, and multiple snakes like grey-banded kingsnakes, Thai bamboo ratsnakes, and shovelnose snakes. We also get into poison frogs (including Oophaga histrionica), tortoises, and some really cool turtles. The biggest personal milestone? Hatching a baby black-breasted leaf turtle—easily one of my most exciting reptile-keeping achievements to date. And yes… we end with a quarantine surprise.
