Join me and my friends as we prepare a zoo for Hurricane Milton. We helped prepare his reptile room and put all the mammals into their crates to brace for the storm. This includes his many venomous snakes, his capybara, macaws and so much more! About This Video

In this video I head over with my friends to help Will Nace get his place locked down ahead of Hurricane Milton. This isn’t a “wait and see” situation—when you’ve got a full reptile room (including venomous) plus mammals and birds, you prep early and you prep methodically. We go enclosure by enclosure, thinking through what can shift, what can spill, what needs to be secured, and what has to be staged so you’re not scrambling once the weather turns. A big part of the day is getting the mammals into their crates and making sure everyone—from the capybara to the macaws—is set up as safely and calmly as possible for the storm. The takeaway is simple: disaster prep for animal rooms is about reducing risk and reducing decision-making under pressure. Have crates ready, keep pathways clear, prioritize the animals that are hardest to move, and make sure your setup can handle the worst-case scenario, not the best-case forecast.
