About This Video

In this video I’m taking you back inside my 110 gallon poison frog jungle vivarium—one full year later. This is the fun part of keeping dart frogs in a planted, bioactive setup: you don’t “finish” it, you watch it mature. Over the year the plants have exploded, the whole tank has settled in, and the system is doing what a naturalistic vivarium should do—support the animals first, and look incredible as a bonus. I walk through what’s changed since the original build, what’s thriving, and what needs a refresh now that everything has grown in. We’ve got babies, we’ve got a jungle that’s starting to take over, and it’s time to make some adjustments so the frogs keep getting the best use of the space. If you’re building a large dart frog terrarium, this is your reminder that maintenance and small redesigns are part of long-term success—especially once the plants start competing for light, airflow, and access to key areas.
