About This Video

In this thrift flip, I’m taking a thrifted crochet blanket (the same beauty I found in my haul video) and turning it into a wearable crochet tee. I walk you through my design and layout ideas first, because with a blanket-to-top project you really do have to “measure twice, cut once”… and still be ready to change your mind. I show you how I prep the blanket, plan the neckline and body shaping, and even do a little repair work on a granny square so the finished top looks intentional and polished. This one is very much a real-life, budget-crafter make: I try it on, realize the fit is doing something “interesting,” and we pivot. I talk through sleeve changes, making extra granny squares to get the sizing right, and how I attach everything so it sits comfortably on the body. By the end, you get the big reveal and a try-on so you can see how a cozy vintage find can become a cute, modern crochet top—without buying new yarn. If you love sustainable fashion, thrifting, and chill problem-solving crochet, this project is for you.
