Reading vlogs have become some of my absolute favorite videos to film so I had to try out reading in coffee shops... (spoiler alert: i read 3 books, and made progress with 1 other– my TBR was happy with this one). Booktube and Tiktok have buzzed about these books… Let’s see if I’ll enjoy them. The video has a book talk / book review portion as I read the books that is completely spoiler free, as well as live reactions. I hope you guys enjoy this weekly reading vlog and come out with one more book to add to your TBR and some good book recommendations for 2026! 🐦‍🔥 Books Mentioned: One Piece, Vol. 7 by Eiichiro Oda One Piece, Vol. 8 by Eiichiro Oda Half City by Kate Golden A Perilous Undertaking by Deanna Raybourn

About This Video

I tried reading in coffee shops for 5 days straight to answer the question I’m always yapping about: does changing your reading environment actually make you read more than a normal week? I treated it like a cozy little experiment—bringing different vibes of books with me (fantasy, manga, and a mystery) and paying attention to what helped me lock in versus what totally derailed me. Think: order a drink, find a seat, set the mood, and see if my brain will behave. Over the week, I ended up reading 3 books and making progress on a fourth, which honestly made my TBR feel very seen. I also do spoiler-free book chats and little live reactions as I go, because I can’t read in public without having Opinions. The big takeaway: coffee shops can be a reading cheat code if you pick the right time, bring the right book for the noise level, and accept that sometimes the “cozy” part is the ritual—not perfect focus. If you want a fun, low-pressure push to read more, this was way more effective than I expected.
