Spalted maple is wood that has begun a natural decomposition process—where fungi create those striking dark lines, contrasting veins, and marbled patterns—turning each piece into a one‑of‑a‑kind work of nature’s art. At the recent Maggard Meetup, I picked up a 26mm brown synthetic knot from Maggard Razors, personally selected and recommended by Brad Maggard himself, to complete this handle.
