How to Lower the Lowest Point of Your Tractor's 3-Point Hitch (No Tools Required)

If you’ve ever struggled hooking up implements because your 3-point hitch won’t drop low enough, this quick adjustment can make a big difference. In this video I show how to lower the minimum height of the 3-point hitch on my 2023 John Deere 3033R so it can easily pick up attachments without needing to store them on blocks, skids, or cement pads. The process is simple. All you need to do is lengthen the left support bar, but because I use an iMatch quick hitch, I first remove it to access the adjustment. I also explain how you can switch the hitch from a fixed position to float mode, which can be useful depending on the implement you’re running. Even though I’m demonstrating this on a John Deere 3033R with Top & Tilt hydraulics, the same concept applies to many tractors and can be done even if you don’t have hydraulic top and tilt. If you’re tired of fighting with attachments when hooking up, this adjustment can make your tractor much easier to use. #JohnDeere #CompactTractor #3PointHitch #TractorTips #TractorLife
