Since I moved out, I've been in a creative rut. With the new stage in life, I also wanted to take a new stage in my filmmaking journey. But I've been trying so hard to come up with the perfect idea that I've ended up making nothing. This video is my attempt to just make something imperfect, but at least it's complete. I hope you enjoy. ▻ FOLLOW ME https://www.instagram.com/luda.lx/ ▻ MY GEAR Camera: https://amzn.to/3MDjY1L Wide Zoom Lens: https://amzn.to/3X9evmM B-Roll Zoom Lens: https://amzn.to/3TFt3b0 Cine Lens 50mm: https://amzn.to/3SClk0A Cine Lens 21mm: https://amzn.to/3QBTzlV Shotgun Mic: https://amzn.to/3tAdTJo Tripod: https://amzn.to/3y5hGk4 Bag: https://amzn.to/3NcayuI ▻ BUSINESS ENQUIRIES ludabusinessenquiries@gmail.com

About This Video

After I moved out, I genuinely thought my filmmaking was about to level up overnight—new environment, new ideas, a new stage in this little game called life. But instead I got hit with a terrible case of writer’s block. I sat there trying to force video ideas—house tour (too YouTubey), powerlifting (too “relevant”), new guitar (also relevant)—and the more I tried to manufacture the perfect concept, the more I ended up making nothing. In this film, I’m basically calling myself out for how often I get hung up on perfection: what gear to use, whether I can actually bring the vision to reality, and whether my day-to-day life is even “story” enough to build a narrative around. The truth is my style has always been cinematic vlogging—third-person, like a movie—but life is messy, unpredictable, and honestly kind of mundane most days. The takeaway is simple: if I keep chasing perfection (this thing that, by definition, doesn’t exist), I’ll have nothing to show for it. So this video is me choosing “imperfect but finished,” because perfection isn’t the pinnacle of art—it’s the thief of joy.
