Fun fact, I shot the entire video on the helios 44-2. About This Video

I’m a pretty type A guy. I make to-do lists for my to-do lists, I plan vacations six months out down to the meal, and I tell myself it’s all for the “responsible” stuff—house, income, the whole thing. But turning 22, I had this fear that ten years from now I’d look back and have nothing but spreadsheets to show for it. So this video is me doing the exact opposite: going to Japan with basically no plan, letting wrong turns and random districts decide the story. We bounce through Tokyo—neon, crowds, unreal food—and I end up in Kitamura, this camera store with everything from digital to vintage. That’s where I find a beat-up film camera that reminds me why I love preserving moments in a way that’s real and permanent. From Kamakura’s Great Buddha (and watching people live through their phones) to a hidden Chiba sunset my friend chased on a whim, the point hits me: the best memories aren’t the ones you optimize. Then we head to Nagano for snow, cedar-lined shrines, and me finally trying skiing… on the wrong mountain, because we literally missed our stop. I fall my way down, but it’s unforgettable. This is a travel film about choosing experiences over comfort, and trusting the messy in-between to become the chapter you actually remember.
