Part of productivity itself is the environment, so in this video I’m walking through the desk setup I slowly built for university—bit by bit, saving up, then dumping it into the next piece. It’s a cinematic tour, but it’s also practical: I’ll show you what I actually use day-to-day, what made the biggest difference for studying from home, and what I’d change if I did it again. I start with the foundation: my Omnidesk sit-stand desk in Dark Acacia (the website photos don’t do it justice—honestly it looked ugly online, but I took the risk and it ended up looking so nice). The whole point of a stand desk for me is being able to switch whenever I need to—every change is basically a mini break. From there I go through my shelf storage, AirPods Max, my first ultrawide monitor (which I prefer over a dual-monitor setup), and how the monitor acting as a hub keeps everything clean with basically one cable. Then it’s lighting and vibe—Xiaomi light bar, basic LED strips, and my Edifier speakers that match the desk’s earthy look. I finish with the “workhorse” (my M1 Max 14-inch MacBook Pro), plus the peripherals I’m genuinely picky about: the Keychron Q1 V2 (fully modded), MX Master 3, and a few honest takes—like why switches don’t magically change keyboard sound, and why my desk mat choice wasn’t perfect long-term.
