We often get sucked into the digital world even when we're travelling the real world. This is Part 3 to a 4 part series called "IKIGAI". Rosy and I venture to Osaka, using our JR pass to travel to and from Kyoto. We visited some of the most famous Japanese sites like the fushimi inari shrines, nishiki market, kiyomizudera, arashiyama bamboo grove, dotonburi and USJ. ▻ IKIGAI SERIES Part One: https://youtu.be/y1u7dlEfyBQ Part Two: https://youtu.be/MpruQH3rRAI Part Four: https://youtu.be/N1Mfu-v3WAw ▻ FOLLOW ME https://www.instagram.com/luda.lx/ ▻ CHAPTERS 00:00 - Introduction 00:29 - All Aboard to Osaka/Kyoto 00:57 - Fushimi Inari Shrine 01:39 - Nishiki Market 02:35 - A Peaceful Lake 02:35 - A Peaceful Lake 03:16 - Kiyomizudera 04:37 - Nara 05:13 - Feeling Burnt Out 06:33 - Live in the moment 08:08 - Credits + Teaser for Finale ▻ MY GEAR Camera: https://amzn.to/3EyFD7I Wide Zoom Lens: https://amzn.to/3X9evmM B-Roll Zoom Lens: https://amzn.to/3TFt3b0 Shotgun Mic: https://amzn.to/3tAdTJo Tripod: https://amzn.to/3y5hGk4 Bag: https://amzn.to/3NcayuI ▻ BUSINESS ENQUIRIES ludabusinessenquiries@gmail.com

About This Video

In this part of my IKIGAI series, Rosy and I take the JR Pass from Osaka to Kyoto and try to soak in the “classic” spots—Fushimi Inari, Nishiki Market, Kiyomizudera, Arashiyama, Dotonbori, and even a day with the deer at Nara Park (yes… it smells like poop everywhere, and there’s a weird “male deer milk” vibe if you know what I mean). Kyoto is insanely busy, and I went into it with this goal of documenting everything—both for myself and for you—but I didn’t want my memories to just be crowds and lines for photos. The problem is, I let filming become the main thing. I was rushing, under-eating, walking 30,000 steps, and stuck in this mindset of “if I can’t show a story, what’s the point?” Recording started to feel like a chore and I got burnt out trying to split my attention between living in the moment and getting “good content.” I kept blaming the crowds, but honestly the issue was me—being unable to just be present. So I made a decision: put the experience first and worry about the rest later. And that’s when I finally started to enjoy Japan again. This video is basically my reminder (and maybe yours) that chasing the perfect image can quietly steal the authenticity we’re trying so hard to capture.
