Planner chat: Updating my home planner system with my Hobonichi Weeks 2024 | functional plan with me

Hello, friends! I hope you are doing well! This week’s video is an update on my home and garden hobonichi weeks that I had set up for 2024. I realized after my last video in my home and garden setup, that I was getting stuck - already.😅  Not a great feeling to have before 2024 has even started! I reflected on why I felt this way, and I think I was putting too much pressure on myself to have a “good” starting list of household chores. I decided to take a step back and start from scratch by brainstorming what I already knew we had to do with an online bulletin board and set up my hobonichi weeks to help me track and capture less obvious things that I wasn’t aware we needed to do. I’ll also note how often chores need to be done and how much time/effort they’ll take to complete. If this sounds like a lot of work - I agree! I hope that by investing time in 2024 to build a system for managing our home and garden maintenance, we will have more free time overall in 2025 and beyond to spend our energy on other things we want to focus on. If all I do by the end of 2024 is have more awareness of what needs to be done and when, I’ll consider myself successful. (adulting with adhd can be hard!) I’m really excited about the updates I made to my approach. I kept them as simple as possible to make them as easy as possible to maintain. I took a lot of lessons from my meal planning approach, and I hope I can make it to Dec 2024 and be able to say that I stuck with this process and managed to build more awareness and a sustainable habit. As always, I’ve included some timestamps so you can jump around to different sections. Please let me know how you plan, schedule, and track your household chores in the comments below. I’d love to hear more about your approach!
