people think skating is just twirling around in cute outfits — but it’s taught me more about discipline and self-worth than almost anything else. 🛼🩷 last weekend at the usars southwest regionals was a mix of calm and chaos. mentally, i felt grounded. But physically, my nervous system had other plans — shaky legs, wobbly balance. but i kept showing up. i had 3 events to skate, and this is how they went: 🥷 open creative duet: even though this wasn’t our best performance, and i also had a fall, we still qualified for nationals by getting 5th place with crystal — emotional is an understatement. 🎖️💖 ♥️ classic ladies inline freestyle: this routine had bad and good parts. my spins went well, but my jumps not so much. i guess this is a reminder to keep training my mind-body connection.
