I’m in Michigan and we’ve had basically no light for a couple months, so as someone with a ton of plants… it can get stressful. In this video, I’m sharing the plants that are bringing me joy right now—like, good vibes only, zero stress plants that look happy even when I’ve been traveling, dealing with drought periods, and yes… fighting mealie bugs. I start with my current favorite: my variegated bearpaw cactus/succulent that’s blooming (the cutest little bell flowers) and thriving by a cold, drafty window with super minimal watering. I also show you a mix of “fancy” and super common plants that are doing amazing under my grow lights, including my Anthurium veitchii (aka the abs plant), a Spiritus Sancti philodendron that’s been shockingly easy, rubber trees that are proving me wrong, plus a money tree, aglaonema, episcia, and more. I talk through what lighting I’m using (Barrina and my splurge favorites from Soltech), how I’m watering (usually when things are halfway dry or fully dry depending on the plant), and the small signs I watch for—like money tree leaves closing up when it’s thirsty.
