I show you what I look for in a pothos soil mix—chunky, airy, and well-draining—because roots need oxygen to avoid the low-oxygen conditions that lead to root rot. I talk about my go-to pot sizing (only 1–2 inches bigger than the root ball), why I love clear nursery pots for monitoring moisture and roots, and when it’s time to repot (roots escaping, slowed growth, compact root ball).
