In this video I’m sharing what I would do differently if I could go back to my early homeschool years—specifically preschool. As a homeschool mom of six, I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way) that preschool doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective. I walk through my top five picks and the kind of “simple but solid” approach I’d choose now: gentle structure, lots of read-alouds, hands-on learning, and just enough skill practice to build confidence without burning anyone out. I talk about resources that helped me keep routines doable while still feeling like my kids were learning meaningful things—like themed unit studies, a fun and faith-friendly science option, and a math workbook that keeps practice straightforward. I also share a book I like for covering the “what should they know?” basics, plus a low-pressure learning tool I used when I needed something easy.
