About This Video

In this real-life update, I’m sharing what our homeschool has looked like through January and February—and what completely derailed us this month: a concussion. I wanted to be honest about how quickly your plans can change, especially when a health crisis hits, and how that impacts not just school, but your home rhythms, your energy, and your expectations. If you’re homeschooling through something hard right now, my hope is that this feels like a deep breath and a reminder that you’re not alone. I talk through what it looks like to adjust without quitting—simplifying, leaning on easier options, and giving ourselves permission to do “school” differently for a season. One of the biggest helps for us in times like this is using audio and video learning tools so the kids can keep moving forward even when I’m not at 100%. I also point you to some of my favorite resources for science and history on audio, plus educational channels and podcasts that can carry some of the load. Most of all, I share encouragement to keep your priorities straight, stay flexible, and trust the Lord in the everyday, even when the everyday gets messy.
