About This Video

It’s finally time for the project we’ve been avoiding in this bus build… plumbing. In this episode (Bus Build Part 17), we jump into figuring out how we’re actually going to get water where it needs to go in our tiny home on wheels—without turning the bus into a rolling leak. We’re walking through the messy, real-life side of DIY plumbing: the planning, the “wait… how are we supposed to route this?” moments, and the decisions you have to make before you ever glue a single fitting. This video is basically us ripping the band-aid off and starting, even though it’s intimidating. The biggest takeaway is that plumbing isn’t just “connect some pipes”—it’s layout, access, and thinking ahead to future maintenance. We’re learning as we go, sharing the challenges as they happen, and trying to make choices that won’t bite us later when we’re out on the road. If you’re building a bus or van and you’ve been putting plumbing off too… yeah, same. Wish us luck.
