In this video I’m taking my boy Eric from grown-out to clean in about eight minutes with a mohawk, a slash part, and curl sponge styling. I walk you through the exact order I use so you don’t get lost—prep, sectioning, setting that first guideline with intention, then building the fade the right way so the blend stays tight and the mohawk stays bold. If you’ve been struggling with “dark spots” or a fade that looks choppy, I’m showing you how I avoid those common mistakes and keep everything controlled. For the fade, I’m leaning on the 0.5 lever open, then stepping up to the one guard and 1.5 guard to polish the transition. After the blend is clean, I get into the fun part: design work. I show how I enhance the slash part with Liquid Shape, then finish the look with semi-permanent dye and hold spray/fibers so the details pop on camera and in real life.
