Welcome back to the channel—this video is a quick first look at the Fosi Audio MD3, a magnetic MagSafe-style USB DAC and headphone amp that literally showed up at my doorstep today. I unbox everything on camera and walk you through the physical design: the round screen and main button on the front, menu and volume buttons on the side, and both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs on the bottom. On the back, you’ve got magnets with that orange leather-texture finish, and I test how it snaps onto my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I also power it on and poke around the menu system. You can choose language at startup, and the default screen is a volume meter (so it should stay constant, not bounce like a VU meter). I show the gain settings, UAC 1/2 modes, source volume toggle, and the ESS-style digital filters—plus I mention the DAC chip: ES9039Q2M. There are screen saver options too, including user image and even a slideshow, and there’s a “photo sync” mode I’m not fully sure about yet. This isn’t the full sound review—yet. In the full review, I’ll test efficiency, sound quality, and those custom photo functions once I’ve used the MD3 for a couple of weeks.
