In this video I’m having a little fun testing new makeup I picked up at Ulta (with a couple Sephora staples sprinkled in), and the star of the show is the new Anastasia Beverly Hills GLIDR Eyeshadow Stick. I swatch and wear-test the shade Sunny, and I walk you through exactly how it applied on my mature lids—no tugging, no dragging, and it’s the perfect size so you’re not getting product everywhere. Because Sunny is a shimmer finish, it’s meant to be more of a wash of sheen (not full metallic opacity), so I show you how I build it up by patting and then topping it with my Chantecaille Luminescent Eye Shade for that “chef’s kiss” glow. I also share what I’m currently loving (and still testing) from Ulta—like Rare Beauty now being available there—and I’m honest about what’s working for me and what still has me on the fence. Then we wrap it up with an affordable lip combo that actually performs: I use the NYX Lip Lingerie liner stain (cool-toned Lip Locked), blend it out so it’s not that harsh line, add a NYX matte liner in Sandstorm as a dupe-y alternative to my Makeup Forever favorites, and set it with powder so it lasts. And yes, I had to throw in my little trick for muting lipstick with a sheer blue-toned balm (Dibs Blueberry Ice) because that frosty-neutralized finish is just my thing.
