In this video I’m doing a full cover of John Legend’s “P.D.A. (We Just Don’t Care)” as part of the 3rd edition of my “polyglot sings in 6 languages” project. The whole point of this series is to take something fun (singing) and use it as a practical language-learning challenge: pronunciation under pressure, rhythm, vowel control, and actually committing lines to memory instead of just “recognizing” them. It’s a cover, but it’s also a mini experiment in what happens when you push your comfort zone. I’ll be honest: this song isn’t exactly sitting in my comfortable voice range, and that’s kind of why I wanted to do it. Trying something that’s a bit out of reach forces you to focus on technique and consistency—same vibe as learning a language when you’re not naturally “gifted” at it. If you’re into language, culture, and what actually works, this is a reminder that progress often comes from doing the slightly awkward thing on purpose.
