About This Video

I’ve owned a bunch of gimbals over the years (my first was the old Zhiyun Crane), and back then I honestly wasn’t impressed—mostly because I didn’t really know how to balance them and it felt like a guessing game. In this video I’m testing the new ZHIYUN Cinepeer Weebill 3E. Zhiyun sent it to me, no money changed hands, and I’m giving you my straight opinion on whether it’s actually worth buying. I go through what’s in the box, the build quality (it feels surprisingly solid for the price), and how it handles in real shooting. The big standouts for me are how compact and light it is, the Bluetooth shutter control (so you’re not constantly reaching up to hit record), and the native portrait switch—yes, I hate shooting vertical, but it’s a necessity now. I also talk stabilization performance after about 2.5 hours of operating time in different scenarios (running, shops, park walks, orchards), plus battery claims (up to 16 hours) and charging while operating. Then I throw a real mirrorless setup on it (my Sony with a 35mm f/1.4, cage, battery, and a small matte box) and show you balancing and portrait mode in practice. My takeaway: if you’re shooting mirrorless and don’t need a massive payload, this is a really strong value gimbal—especially around that ~$199 deal price.
