Pour and Swirl Glazing; Creating a Marbled Glaze with Cone 6 Glazes!

Pour and Swirl Glazing - or more traditionally known as Marbled Glazing is a trendy technique where glazes are used with the intention of allowing them to run together and mix a bit to ultimately create a marbled effect. Use these pointers to remember to increase your success. - Wet your piece beforehand - Use a combination of glazes with various characteristics- Use some glazes that are stable combined with some runnier glazes- with a FLUXING nature (That has a lower melting point, and helps to encourage runs) - Interior recommended- as exteriors could run and cause sticking - Thin very thick areas - When dry, rub any cracking to fill the cracks with dust to avoid the flaw of crawling In this video, I am using Standard 225, a nice midrange firing tan stoneware. I am using Coyote white glaze, sapphire, and cobalt, and Laguna Moroccan Sand MS-15 Robin's Egg.
