Hey loves — in this whole house deep clean, I’m doing a true top-to-bottom reset because winter in Ohio has us stuck inside and I hit that point where a surface clean just wasn’t cutting it. I’m tackling every bedroom, every bathroom, the kitchen, and the family room, and I’m being honest: I started this day exhausted and not motivated at all. But I’m taking it room by room so it doesn’t feel so overwhelming, and I’m using my favorite trick to push through — headphones on with music or a podcast so I can kind of check out and just get it done. Upstairs I’m stripping beds, wiping down dusty nightstands and mirrors, deep cleaning bathrooms (including scrubbing that shower that looks dirty no matter what), and getting the floors vacuumed. I’m also running laundry all day — comforters, clothes, linens — because it’s satisfying to watch the hampers empty and it makes the whole house smell amazing (even if I still hate folding it). Downstairs is the big reset: diffuser oils for a calm vibe, clearing the island, powering through dishes, wiping counters and the stovetop, and cleaning out the gross trash cabinet. I finish by resetting the family room and vacuuming up all the dog fur so I can enjoy that “everything is DONE” feeling… even if it’s only for five minutes.
