Hey loves—today I’m tackling a spot that is basically my home’s biggest struggle area: the garage. This is honestly like round four of me doing a full garage reset on my channel (and I’ve only been doing this for a couple years), because we store everything out there—seasonal decor, tools, gardening stuff, and all the “I’ll deal with it later” piles. It got completely out of control after our island DIY, hosting Christmas, and then taking down what felt like 5,000 pieces of decor… so I’m giving you a real-life extreme garage clean out with a super satisfying before and after. I break this kind of project into simple steps so it doesn’t feel so overwhelming: step one is pulling everything out to get a blank slate, step two is doing a real clean (sweeping, wiping down sawdust, dirt, and all the gross stuff), and step three is decluttering and organizing pile by pile. The biggest game changer is finishing my “great wall of bins” by adding two more rows so every bin has a home. I also switch everything into matching black and yellow bins, organize by area (like “Christmas kitchen” or “Christmas kids room”), and label everything so I can actually find what I need fast—and keep it organized long-term.
