In this Hue Hacks Part 2 video, I’m showing five super doable DIY Philips Hue installs that make your setup look way more “custom” without needing to be an electrician (or buy a bunch of pricey fixtures). The whole theme is using basic hardware-store style parts—fixtures, channels, splitters, and some good mounting tape—to get better placement, cleaner light, and more flexibility with the Hue gear you already own. I walk through a few of my favorite tricks: creating accent lighting that bounces/splashes off the wall (it looks way more premium than pointing a bulb straight at your face), using a Hue Motion Sensor in more creative spots, and making Hue bulbs and lightstrips easier to move around when you inevitably change your mind (because we all do). I also show a simple way to get more light out of a single fixture using a bulb splitter—one of those “why didn’t I do this sooner” hacks. If you want your Hue setup to look cleaner, brighter, and more intentional on a budget, these are quick wins.
