Get the recipe: https://justcookwithmichael.com/recipes/beer-battered-cod/ Beer Battered Cod Recipe (makes about 4-5 servings) ===== 2 pounds Cod, rock fish, tilapia, salmon 3/4 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup cornstarch 1-1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp black pepper 1/2 white pepper 2 egg whites 2/3 cup cold beer ---- 2 quarts of oil, (vegetable, corn, peanut, Safflower, canola) ==== 1. Combine the dry ingredient in a bowl and mix. 2. Add the beer and eqq whites into the dry ingredients. (try to make the batter with in a half hour of the time you are going to cook the asparagus) 3. Heat up the oil between 350 to 375°F 4. Dip the fish into the batter and fry for about 5 minutes. (or internal temperature of 140 F) 5. Remove the deep fried fish from the oil onto a plate or cookie sheet lined with paper towels to soak up any excess oil.
