In this video I’m reviewing a few different Mac mini M4 enclosure options, and I’ll be honest—one of them just feels like the “Baby Mac Pro” upgrade the Mac mini deserves. The main star is the Zeera MacForge Gen 2 CNC aluminum case. I love that it’s clearly influenced by the Mac Pro design, but it’s also actually functional: rubber feet so it doesn’t slide, full access to ports on the front and back, and (finally) a power button you can reach without doing desk gymnastics. What really sells me is the toolless design. The top is magnetic, the Mac mini sits inside a plastic shroud, and the whole thing slides into the aluminum shell almost like a VHS tape—super satisfying. Airflow comes in from the side instead of being choked off by your desk, and there’s even a little nook up top where you can tuck an NVMe enclosure for clean storage expansion. I also tried a simple 3D printed power-button helper and the Ulanzi cage, but the Ulanzi losing front port access was a dealbreaker for me. If you want the Mac mini M4 to look and feel more “premium” on your desk, the Zeera is the one I’d pick.
