Is the Sony INZONE M10S really 480Hz and does it feel faster?

Yep—this thing is 480Hz, and it’s not just a spec sheet flex. When I used it, the responsiveness and input feel genuinely improved, and it’s paired with a 0.03ms response time. With a strong GPU, it can absolutely give competitive players an edge.

WOLED vs QD-OLED: which looks better for gaming and color?

On paper, QD-OLED can look a bit punchier and can have slightly better color reproduction depending on your preference and pixel layout. I personally love the newer QD-OLED layout, especially on 4K panels. That said, this WOLED panel still looks excellent, and the performance is the main reason you buy it.

What are your best SDR settings for the Sony INZONE M10S?

I got the most consistent results in SDR using Standard picture mode. I set brightness to 100%, contrast to 75, and sharpness is preference—I had mine around 60. Standard mode also looks really well calibrated out of the box, so I wouldn’t overthink it.

How is HDR on the Sony INZONE M10S?

HDR can look pretty good, but for me it was a little wonky and took time to dial in. Even on the latest firmware, it felt like highlights were clipping, and Windows HDR calibration didn’t line up with the claimed 1300 nits. If you want a starting point, I found Cinema HDR to be the most consistent out of the box.

Is the Sony INZONE M10S good for productivity and Mac use?

It works great on my Mac Mini M4, and out of the box it looked perfectly calibrated in Standard mode. For productivity though, you will notice the lower pixel density compared to a 32-inch 4K OLED (or even newer 27-inch 4K OLEDs). If you’re doing a lot of text work, 4K is still the move.

Does the matte coating hurt image quality on this WOLED panel?

This is the most subtle matte coating I’ve ever seen—tastefully done. It preserves color and sharpness way better than most matte screens, and I don’t feel like I’m losing much. I still prefer glossy personally, but this matte finish makes a lot of sense in brighter rooms or travel setups.

Is the Sony INZONE M10S worth it at full price?

At around $800+, you can grab a really nice 32-inch 4K QD-OLED from Dell or MSI, and I think most people will be happier there—especially for more consistent HDR. Where this Sony becomes a no-brainer is open-box pricing. If you find it around $500 like I did, it’s absolutely worth trying.

Well, hey everyone—this video is my quick (but honest) review of the Sony INZONE M10S: a 27-inch 1440p WOLED gaming monitor that hits an absolutely insane 480Hz. I go over the specs that actually matter—0.03ms response time, 98% DCI-P3, the port selection (HDMI 2.1, DP 2.1, USB, headphone jack), and the INZONE Hub software. But the real story here is the design: it’s hands-down one of the best-looking gaming monitors I’ve ever seen because it’s not trying to be a giant RGB spaceship. It’s matte black, subtle branding, and the stand is wild—it rotates a full 180°, looks like it shouldn’t work, and then it’s just rock solid. I also compare the experience to my 32-inch 4K 240Hz QD-OLED (ASUS PG32UCDM). Going to 27-inch 1440p is a give-and-take: you lose pixel density and resolution, but you gain esports-friendly sizing, easier high FPS, and that 480Hz responsiveness with ridiculously low input lag. I share my best SDR settings (Standard mode, brightness 100, contrast 75, sharpness around 60) because I actually got the most consistent results in SDR. HDR can look good, but it felt a little wonky for me—highlight clipping and calibration not matching the claimed 1300 nits—so I’m hoping Sony fixes it with firmware.
