About This Video

I shot my first real estate listings—two in one day—and this video is the full behind-the-scenes of how I approached photo + video without wasting time. I break down the exact gear I brought (Sony A7S III, Osmo Pocket 3 with the wide-angle attachment, RS3 gimbal, tripod) and the settings that made the biggest difference, especially for interiors with bright windows and dark corners. For photos, I leaned on 3-shot HDR bracketing at 2-stop intervals, then merged in Lightroom so I could hold window highlights and still pull shadow detail—without messing with flashes. For video, I shot 4K 60fps so I could slow things down and keep the walkthrough smooth, and I compare the “fast and easy” Pocket 3 approach versus the more cinematic Sony + RS3 setup (with the tradeoff being time in post if you’re shooting SLOG). The biggest takeaway: have a flow and stay intentional. I start at the front door, work left/right, move front-to-back, finish the backyard, then grab drone push-ins/parallax, and do a final staged walkthrough. Each home took me about an hour and a half, and the little details matter—lights on, distractions hidden, and yes… toilet seats down.
